INTRO :
I’m an engineering leader who believes the best outcomes come from staying close to both the technology and the people building it. Over more than two decades, I’ve founded companies, scaled engineering organizations, and solved difficult technical problems that others considered impractical or impossible.
CAREER JOURNEY :
I started by teaching myself to program when I was 14, attending college, and later releasing one of the early popular shareware utilities, TweakIE, which was downloaded by millions of users. That experience led me to build a long-running consulting firm (BlooGoo) where I delivered complex custom software for enterprise, SMB, and government clients.
Later, as Principal Engineer and Cloud Architecture Lead at NETGEAR, I helped modernize backend systems supporting tens of millions of devices. Most recently, as CTO of vivimetrix, I designed and built a real-time fintech trading platform from the ground up (including a self-improving AI pattern recognition system) while scaling the engineering team and delivering high reliability.
HOW I WORK :
I approach problems from first principles. I prefer to understand the real underlying need rather than simply executing the initial request. I believe in automating wherever it creates leverage, building simple and elegant solutions, and continuously raising the bar. I care deeply about creating ownership cultures, clear processes, and environments where strong engineers can do their best work.
I’m particularly drawn to roles where I can shape technical strategy, scale teams, and deliver measurable business impact.
